Filthy and I spent a whopping $3 a piece to see 1408 today. It was surprisingly good for a horror flick. No gore, that's always a plus for me. John Cusack ought to get an Oscar nod, but he won't. Stellar performance, practically a one-man show. Filthy thought it was very Hitchcockian. I agree. We knew we wanted to see this one--thought we should see it in a theater and not at home, late at night, when certain ankle-biters might wake up, listen in and then proceed to keep us up all night, in terror.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix was superb! I thought the action was the best so far, especially the wizard's duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort. Harry's looking buff, but I guess I shouldn't say that until he's officially 18 or that guy from "Dateline" might come out of the woodwork. I loved the girl who plays Luna Lovegood and that Deloris Umbridge actress should really get a supporting actress nod--and she might! I may go as Umbridge for Halloween this year. Hey, let's have a party and dress up like HP characters! Anyway, Tevon (Steve) said the editing was horrible, but we don't know what he's talking about. I thought this one was the bestest. What do you muggles think?
